BRIEF:

​

"Design an A4 size poster that combines one or multiple Symbols, Indexes, Icons in the same design. Your poster can and should communicate at least a message. You can use Photoshop, Illustrator or by simply drawing."

After an intense research on semiology and its importance in design, I discovered that semiotics is the study of signs and how meaning is communicated through signs and symbols to produce audience reception/perception.

 

It is important for designers to understand the relationship between signs and those who interpret them (target audience).

​

Using Adobe Photoshop, I designed a poster that displays the message of peace and balance using contrasting symbols like fire and water; Yin and Yang and a balanced scaled.
